Far North Painters was established in 2015, by Kory & Misty Johnson, where Kory worked as a one man show on the job after moving to Australia from his home in the United States. Misty works on the business and in admin behind the scenes. We have been servicing the Cairns region for over 7 years with house painting services.
Kory has been painting since he was 8 when he would paint fire lines red, off scaffolding 2 stories high, he is a 3rd generation painter and has spent a large part of his life supporting his family business. His Grandpa Kyle started their family painting business, and since Kyles retirement it has been managed & operated by Kevin, Kory’s dad. Kory also worked in the painting business and was set to take over when his dad retired, however due to other family reasons, Kory moved to Australia in 2015 with his Australian wife and 2 children, and began Far North Painters soon after.
Kory went from painting indoors in the snowy weather of Utah to painting outdoors in the Cairns heat. Luckily, Kory prefers the heat and has taken it in his stride, and now sports an Aussie tan and is a proud permanent resident of Australia.
Kory has over 25 years of industry knowledge and experience in painting homes, roofs, commercial buildings and churches.
